Mommy and Me Yoga

Mind Over Matter is excited to once again offer Mommy and Me Yoga in Central Park this fall!

Come try our one-time class and give this technique a shot. If you’re a new mommy looking to get back to your pre-pregnancy figure (with special attention to the little belly you might have gained), look no further. Mommy and Me Yoga offers a combination of abdominal and core work, along with yoga and stretching. Think long, lean muscles combined with a flat stomach and strong back. Great for all fitness levels and most importantly, if you’re having trouble finding a sitter, no need! Class can be performed with or without the little one.

It’s that time again! Mind Over Matter is offering our 2016 Stroller Boot Camp. If you’ve been in a rut with your exercise, or looking to try something new, this is your chance. Start your week off right. Spend 60 minutes with us for eight weeks and drop a pants size in the process. Bring your motivation and intensity, we’ll do the rest.

Can’t find a babysitter so you can make a trip to the gym? Worried you won’t be able to fit in a complete workout between your toddler’s naps? With Mind Over Matter’s comprehensive Stroller Boot Camp, there’s no more stressing and no more excuses. You can build muscle, burn fat and firm up all while spending valuable time with your baby!

Stroller Boot Camp includes everything the 60 Minute Boot Camp class provides – a warm up, cardio, strength training, stretching and cool down. You’ll jog, race walk and participate in resistance exercises, such as squats, lunges and various abdominal movements that incorporate your child and their stroller.

DOGA (DOG YOGA)

Mind Over Matter has partnered with Bideawee to offer a monthly yoga class you can do with your dog! DOGA is a unique way to get both you and your dog into shape … through yoga! Participants and their canine companions go through ancient yoga techniques together in a relaxing setting that will leave you feeling refreshed.

Dogs participating in the class must be well-behaved and able to get along with other dogs.

Mind Over Matter offers several outdoor Boot Camp style group workouts in New York City’s best outdoor gym – Central Park.

During our high-energy 60 minute Boot Camp classes, you’ll do a total body workout.

  • Warm-Up – 5 minutes
  • Cardio – 20 minutes
  • Upper Body – Push ups, back and shoulder movements
  • Core Work – Crunches, rotation and stabilization movements
  • Lower Body – Squats, squat thrusts, lunges, jumps
  • Stretch – Cool-down dynamic stretching

Mind Over Matter Health & Fitness caters to the fitness level of each individual during class. Our instructors will take the time to check on each participant’s form, make necessary adjustments, and pinpoint any individual concerns and answer questions.
